Thailand/ Phuket is the largest island in Thailand with 48 km in length and 21 km in width and is lying in the Andaman Sea off southern Thailand's West Coast. The island offers many different aspects, be it the rainforest of Khao Phra Thaeo National Park, mangrove swamps, limestone outcroppings, granite boulders or stunning white sand beaches.

Phuket is generally divided into five areas including Patong Beach, South Coast Area, Phuket Town, North Coast Area and the North Central Area. However, most of the tourism development and the best beaches are concentrated on Patong Beach and along the rest of the southwest coast. Patong, the major centre for Backpackers and package tourists, is a hot spot for nightlife and entertainment, while Karon and Kata Beach offer more of a balance between relaxation and the close vicinity to all the fun and activity you could want.
