Cayman Brac is 19 km long and home to about 1.200 local residents, who are extremely friendly and happy to fill you in on the island's interesting history. The island's most distinctive feature, a rugged limestone cliff called "The Bluff", dotted with ancient caves, tunnels and crevices, runs down the centre of the island and rises to nearly 50 metres at its eastern end. It makes for great hiking and bird watching, as well as for lovely views of the ocean.
