Marine Conservation

There are a considerable number of marine sanctuaries in the area and divers therefore need to take specific care of the underwater environment. Some areas also have limitations such as around Apo Island where gloves are banned, whereas some sanctuaries do not accept more than 15 divers per day.

The municipalities charge a marine park fee for each diver entering the sanctuaries. Prices range between about £1 and £3 per dive, all dependent on the dive site and the type of equipment you carry, such as cameras and video cameras.
