What to do
Apart from diving, snorkelling, kayaking and the beaches in the area, an absolute MUST is a trip to the "Chocolate Hills" on main island Bohol. This is a collection of cone-shaped hills that in the summer change from green to brown. About a three hours ride from Alona Beach, the trip is as interesting as the hills themselves and should not be missed!

There are a number of other great day trips organised by the resorts such as to the "Magaso Falls", which is about 9 metres tall with verdant forest as fitting background for the placid waters.

The "Hinagdanan Cave", located on the Panglao-peninsula, which shows some remarkable stalactites and stalagmites. There's also a natural swimming pool. Cold!

An exciting river trip, which stars from Loay bridge with motorized pumpboats along palm-fringed banks. It ends at the Busay Falls, where small falls provide a pleasant bathing session.
