Even though in general tip is appreciated, please remember that wages are low and a tip, which would be acceptable in Europe, will be considered excessive here in the Philippines and can potentially damage the wage systems in this country. A tip of 2-3% of the total sum is within acceptable limits.

If you have more than a week time, we highly recommend a two-centre trip combining Dumaguete with a few days or a week with Puerto Galera, Moalboal/Cebu or Bohol.
