Soneva Fushi - Kunfunadhoo Island/Baa Atoll One of the most upmarket resorts in the Maldives, this beautiful private island is accessible by a scenic 35-minute seaplane flight trip from the airport in Male. Being 1,400 metres long and almost 400 metres wide, it is also one of the largest islands in the Maldives. The unusually rich vegetation provides a unique nature experience and the 65 rooms and villas are scattered along the beach and tucked into the lush greenery, providing the ultimate in privacy. The absence of other hotels in the Baa Atoll leaves one spoilt for choice of desert islands to picnic on.

Soneva Fushi carefully blends the modern creature comforts with the simple original "Robinson Crusoe" environment. The resort is run in an extremely "eco-friendly" way and everything from the furniture to the room decorations, from the bedspreads to the pens on the bedside table, down to the rubbish bins and the toilet roll holders, is made out of natural materials. Guests are asked to kindly take any plastic bottles with them on departure.
