Boat: S/V Ari Explorer

The Ari Explorer is a fully air-conditioned ocean going 2-master boat with a wooden hull and Mahogany furnishings inside and out. The public areas include a large saloon with the Captain’s Bar, TV, Video and Stereo set up, as well as a small library, traditional BBQ and generous lounge areas. The boat was built in 1995 and completely refurbished in 2005.

This comfortable vessel offers spacious deck areas and cabins, as well as a professional and experienced crew to ensure the perfect ambience for your liveaboard trip in the Maldives.

The vessel offers accommodation for 10 guests in 5 air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms, double bed, storage cupboard for luggage and a small wardrobe, as well as a large 15sqm Honeymoon cabin for further 2 guests.

Diving takes place from a separate, dive support vessel with a compressor to maximize comfort and safety. NITROX available in the Northern and Central Ari Atoll at extra charge.

Diving:

In the many atolls of the Maldives there is no end to the number of different dive sites with still many more to be discovered. On a 7 night trip, you will visit the following areas:

Kuramathi-Madivaru-Rasdu-Maayafushi-Kandoludu-Bathala-Maafushivaru-Halaveli

On top of spectacular topography, you can expect to see among others grey and white-tip reef sharks, leopard sharks, spectacular soft coral and gorgonians, eagle rays, turtles, moray eels, napoleon wrasses, mantas, eagle rays, Hammerhead sharks, mackerels, tuna and at the right time of year even whale sharks.

Flights from London or Manchester to Malé, UK airport taxes, roundtrip speedboat transfer to Kuramathi, 7 nights on board the S/V Ari Explorer, all meals, bottled soft drinks, water, tea & coffee, 5½ days of diving with up to three dives per day including two night dives weekly (depending upon itinerary). Other alcoholic beverages are available and may be purchased separately.
