When to go
While the winter months offer excellent water visibility, air-temperatures never exceed 14ºC at the most and there is a good chance of lots of rain and rough seas. Vancouver Island is best to visit from the end of March until the end of October, when the climate is mild and water temperatures rise up to 19ºC on the surface. Divers: Dry-suit is a must all year round!

Getting there
There are daily direct flights with Air Canada to Nanaimo via Vancouver with a flight time of about 11 hours from London. To get from Nanaimo to God's Pocket you would either get on a flights to Port Hardy or alternatively rent a car and drive to the north of the island.

Getting around
In our opinion there is best way to get around this island, which is by rental car. There are excellent maps available, car rental and petrol is affordable, there is hardly any traffic outside the main cities and you have the flexibility to stop and take in the mind blowing natural beauty.
