When to go
Bermuda is a semitropical island with two seasons, the warmest months being from June to September. Showers may be heavy at times, but they occur more often at night and usually stop shortly after they have begun. Temperatures can occasionally drop to 16ºC in the winter months, but generally range between 22ºC and 30ºC during most of the year.

Water temperature ranges from 19ºC in the winter to 28ºC at the height of the summer, with the best underwater visibility during the winter months from November to April, averaging at 50 meters.

Getting there
There are four flights per week with British Airways from London Heathrow non-stop to Bermuda. However, you could also fly to New York and then take one of the frequent 1,5 hour flights to Bermuda. The direct flight from London to Bermuda takes only about 7 hours.

Getting around
Although there is no car hire available, you will get around this relatively small island quite easily by ferries, public buses and of course taxis. You can buy a "Transportation Pass" for one, three or seven days, which gives you unlimited use of the buses and ferries. However, in our opinion the most convenient and most fun way to get around the island is by motor scooter, which can be hired for about US$35.00 a day or cheaper, depending on how many days you hire it for.

Entry Requirements
European community nationals only require a valid passport and a return ticket.

Baggage Allowance
2 pieces of luggage not exceeding 30kg per person

Local Airport Tax
Not applicable as already included in your air ticket.

Language
The official language in Bermuda is English.

Money
The official currency is the Bermuda dollar, which is on a fixed 1:1 exchange rate with the US dollar and therefore makes the US dollar the second official currency. US traveller's cheques as well as most major credit cards are accepted nearly everywhere, and you will find ATM machines at a number of banks island-wide, where you can also exchange other foreign currencies.

Health
No special vaccinations are required prior to arrival.
